This is the only game I have this connection problem with.
#7 DAYS TO DIE BOOKSTORE LOCATION 16 MODS#
No Mods on the server (or at least none apear to load on joining) Playing on A20 KingGen6C8317AF Hosted in Miami and I am in Central FL If you increase bedrock to 5 layers, that doesn't give you "more elevated" terrain to dig through, you just lose 2 layers of rock: In the current 3-layer-bedrock config, that would be:
So imagine the heightmap says that an area should be at elevation +100. N layers rock (depends on heightmap this 'fills out' the middle of the terrain) So for example the first listed snow biome is defined as: So if they decided to increase the bedrock layer to 5, that would be 2 fewer layers available between for example "sea level" at +60 and bedrock now at +5.įurthermore, the layers in biomes.xml are defined by thickness, and capped by heightmap elevation. Any layers consumed by bedrock reduce the available layers for terrain. Unfortunately, no and in fact it would be the opposite. If you're on a mountain at level 120 then you'd have to dig 117 blocks down to hit bedrock. In between that are varying heights of terrain, with "sea level" being at about +60. The bottom 3 layers (+1 to +3) are bedrock and the top ~20 or so I think are guaranteed air (unless you use a custom heightmap). To be clear: the game map is built from level 0 to level 255 and is flat on the bottom and the top. The devs are going to start with that and then expand to a certain point and then others will certainly expand even more. So there is no reason to worry about bandits simply being zombies with guns forever and amen. That is exactly the allure of mods- that you can play a game that is beyond the scope of what the developers chose the default game to be. Modders have already gotten pretty ambitious with the bandits that we already had from earlier versions so I am confident that at whatever point TFP decides to stop and say "good enough" where bandits are concerned, the community will be sure to take it farther. All we know right now is where faatal shared with us that they will start out at. We do not know yet exactly how ambitious the developers will get with bandit behaviors, tactics, goals, and coordination. Just as current zombies and hostile animals can and do attack each other, we can expect that zombies and bandits will attack each other. He was not saying that they would be zombies and so not attack other zombies. Eventually they will have more sophisticated actions but the starting point will be pretty basic. Worth checking out, just don't make any plans for awhile."zombies with weapons" is just a phrase faatal used to mean that initially bandits will path and behave very similarly to the zombies except they will have weapons.
Right now its a solid 6, later on could be a 7- 8 depending on what all they add. You get it cheaper and are essentially helping test the game in this stage. As far as bugs go, with the report system being pretty efficient I would imagine this game will be running smooth in a few months. The frame rate stutters a bit, when the RAM is being taxed, but again. Set it up to where you only lose your tool belt to start, save yourself some headache. As far as the game goes we are continually impressed at how much ha dot have gone into this, and its hella fun once you get up and going.
#7 DAYS TO DIE BOOKSTORE LOCATION 16 PS3#
Expect sort of a low budget ps3 type look to it, no big deal unless you are a graphics snob. The primitive look is what makes the depth possible.
I'll say this, if you are expecting to be blown away by graphics, don't. My girlfriend and I play split screen survival. Some slight polygon tearing here and there, but no game breakers. Picked Clyde for my character, experienced some minor issues, deleted that save, started with Lee. Reinstalled later, major issues resolved. Preloaded the game, stayed up till midnight to play it, had some major issues, which was to be expected I guess. A little surprised by the negative scores so I'll try to be as objective as I can with this.
